The study is being run by Linda Birkin, a PhD researcher in the School of Life Sciences' Goulson Lab group; she is investigating insects in urban settings and how they interact with people and their environments.

Professor Dave Goulson is author of 'A Sting in the Tale', a bestselling book about bumblebees, released April 2013 (Jonathan Cape Publishers). He also founded the Bumblebee Conservation Trust in 2006.
