For many of you, the flowering season for the beans is coming to an end, and you will (hopefully!) have some beans forming on your plants. The next post will be about when to harvest, but for now I thought it would be useful to show what our own beans have been up to:
1) Developing beans. On our plants (the second one a bit more slug-ridden than the first, alas).
2) Blackfly
A new contender appears! If you are starting to get blackfly attacking your plants (pictured below), then it is a good idea to remove the top couple of inches of plant - which is probably the bit they are attacking, before the infestation gets heavy. If they are on your actual bean pods, they can be squashed or washed off.
